The Kappa Delta house is truly a home, complete with 13 rooms for members to live in, a House Director suite, and a Presidential Suite. Our main floor features a chapter room with a grand piano and a comfortable environment for studying. The first floor has a TV lounge featuring a sectional and a big screen TV. Our second floor is home to another TV lounge. Our laundry room, which has two washers and two dryers, is free for members to use. On our third floor, we have a study lounge. Every member living in the house receives her own desk, chair and shelf space, and each room is equipped with large windows and a vanity. Our beds are located in three different dormers - two large and one small. All dormers are kept dark and quiet at all times. We have three parking spots behind the house, as well as space on Main Street. We have a large front porch with a bench for members to use. Our backyard is equipped with a grill, outdoor dining tables and chairs, and a balcony.
Members who live in the house are generally expected to have a meal plan through College Chefs, although exceptions may be made for Sodexo employees. Meal plans include nine meals per week. Our chef can accommodate vegans, vegetarians, gluten intolerance, lactose intolerance, and all allergies. Our chef, Russel, is very considerate of member needs for meals. We keep a supply of breakfast food in the house at all times, including bagels, yogurt, fresh fruit and cereal. We also have a 24/7 open kitchen policy, allowing members access to all food, cooking appliances, and utensils.
